Offensive Subjects: Jin's a monster hunter by trade, so he might get into talking about some less-than-pleasant things if pressed, never mind the fact that he is an incorrigible flirt and has a nasty habit of thinking with his dick half of the time. In other words, he can say some pretty gross stuff sometimes. If you ever feel uncomfortable tagging him or want me to not tag you, please let me know and I will do my best to abide by those wishes.

Jin stands at 6'1" and is fairly well built, a result of training and trying to keep himself in shape. (also because he's actually a bit on the vain side; he knows he looks good and doesn't hesitate to show that off at times) He has a few minor scars from previous hunts that are on his torso and left arm, though most of them have faded by this point. (contrary to his PB, he actually has no tattoos, I'm just too lazy to shoop them out.) His hair is naturally silverish, a side-effect of his channeling powers manifesting. He generally plays it off as dying his hair to stave off suspicion if asked.
He generally wears casual, modern clothing when not on missions - his wardrobe is fairly normal, all things considered. His hunter garb, on the other hand, is a bit more elaborate - a leather duster and vest etched with protection runes, utility straps that hold some of his tools strapped across his thighs and chest, and combat boots. Both in and out of combat, he tends to wear a lot of jewelry - both ears are pierced, multiple rings on his fingers and a wire bracelet on one wrist. The one piece that is always present, however, is generally tucked under his shirt - a silver chain with a pendant attached made of intricate metalwork and encasing a black stone. ( top right ) This pendant, along with being a memento, is also a detector, glowing slightly and turning hot in the presence of supernatural creatures, though it only can detect the presence of a supernatural being, not the type or how powerful. The rings and bracelet also hold significance for Jin's hunting jobs, serving as a medium for him to channel energy into and reinforce his hands and arms during a fight (It'll make sense once we reach the powers/skills section).
Jin is ... a complicated creature, yet not. (okay that's a bit of a misnomer but hear me out)
On the surface, he seems friendly enough, a bit teasing sometimes, and pretty damn confident in himself, but a lot of that behavior (and especially some of his more reckless tendencies) hide a man who has not taken several major events in his life well. He doesn't like doing things by halves, no matter if it's in regard to his work as a hunter or more hedonistic tendencies. He's reckless and loves a challenge, and doesn't always listen to common sense, especially in the matters of dealing with vampires. He also has indulged in several less-than-stellar habits to try and block out the ideas of what could have been.
Before The Incident (TM), Jin had a few jerk-ish tendencies, was a bit vain, but ultimately a giant sap and a generally good person. He doted on those he cared about, would do just about anything for them to keep them happy, and was notorious for being downright cheesy. But having your boyfriend that you had fallen hard for be kidnapped and turned into a vampire against his will and set against you in an attempt to stop your hunting career before it really even started tends to fuck with your idea of getting close to people. There's still some faint aspects of his previous behavior that come out from time to time, but Jin tries to keep people at a distance. He's fine with acquaintanceship and the casual fuck once in awhile, but for the most part doesn't like getting into a deep, meaningful relationship unless he knows it will help his end goals. There are some exceptions to this, the current main example being Adrian. Granted, due to the shit he's pulled, he distances himself from the man who once considered Jin a brother, feeling that he hasn't nearly earned the mage's forgiveness for what he had done.
Outside of combat, Jin is actually a very good cook and a fantastic bartender. It's shown to be a sign that he trusts someone if he decides to make food for them, while drinks are more common due to the fact that his day job when he's not hunting monsters is as a part-time bartender. Also due to his bartending job, he has become fairly adept at reading nonverbal signals from people and can at the very least pretend to lend a sympathetic ear when necessary.
Elemental Channeling (metal & ice) — A bloodline ability that manifested in Jin's late teens, he can shift the energies around him, which has a few uses in and out of battle. One of the main reasons why Jin wears as much jewelry as he does is because he is able to augment the metals into his limbs temporarily to either help defend himself against hard blows or reinforce his own strikes to make them more potent alongside any metal from his hunter weaponry that's in his hands. His other signature move is being able to freeze the air around a strike to effectively send a cold snap through his desired target - generally used to slow them down or disable them before going in for the kill. He still isn't fully sure of the extent of his channeling abilities, but it's a work in progress and he does well with what he does know.
Martial Arts — Even before he had moved, Jin had been in training for some martial arts since he was a child, and is fairly proficient. While he does tend to try and blend some styles to be unpredictable, there are clear signs of what he has trained in that are intact in his current fighting style - which usually includes palm strikes, hard counterattacks, and power blows. (specific style names tbd once I do some more research and watch more martial arts movies but Lii since when did you need an excuse - shut up tho)
Weapon Training — Due to his job as a hunter, Jin has some proficiency in melee weaponry, mostly daggers/knives and the like. He eventually gets his hands on a pair of butterfly swords etched with runes to prevent breakage and further fortification alongside his elemental channeling abilities.
Yun Jinsun had a mostly ordinary life growing up - his parents, while not always there, still loved him, and he did decently enough in school to earn an opportunity to study abroad in Europe during college. Not too long before he had left, he had found out that he had the ability to channel energy through his body, and more specifically, that of ice and metal. He didn't exactly know what to expect of those abilities, and they really didn't come in handy until much later.
While in Europe, he stayed with a host family - the Mateis - and helped out with their bar/restaurant when he had enough downtime between his studies. It's then that he befriended their son, Adrian. Adrian was looking to eventually go to the same university that Jin was attending in order to study mythology, and eventually the two began to see each other as brothers, even after Jin was done with school and ended up staying in the city to look for work.
It wasn't until a few months after graduation and Jin had struck out on his own that he met one Eun Minji, who at the time was working as a chef in one of the local restaurants. The two eventually hit it off and became friends, only to eventually become lovers. At first, Jin was hesitant to tell Minji about his latent abilities, but eventually it became impossible to hide. Surprisingly, it didn't change much about their relationship - though it did give explanation as to why Jin would run slightly cold sometimes. Hell, Jin had found out that his boyfriend had some minor precognition powers as well, so win-win in that case, really.
He had quite accidentally fallen into hunting - it was only a few weeks after he and Minji had revealed their respective abilities to each other,
